Re: Arroyo Azul
Lark:
With the Phantom and Thistle, i cantered into the Arroyo. tall, brick-colored walls soared high abouve us, and the slim line of the creek, mediteranian blue, was only feet below us. "It is beautiful!" i exclaimed. these were the first words i had spoken through the whole journey; i was brooding over ways to get back some of our own in the War Lord department.

Re: Arroyo Azul
We had finalley arrived at Arroyo Azul. I heard Lark say that the place was buetiful. Of course it was. It had almost everything a horse needed. A clear blue colored stream, with lush, green grass around. It was starting to get late so I lay down on a grassy patch and took a little rest.

Lark:
the Phantom laid down to rest. i looked behind me, to make sure Thistle had kept up. seeing that she had, i fell to grazing in peace. but my conscience wouldn't leave me alone.
The Phantom would always be the most powerful stallion in the Calicos. he didn't deserve to be treated by some young buck by, well, some young buck! i narrowed my eyes in the direction of the trail, trying to formulate the perfect scheme.

Re: Arroyo Azul
A little while later, I opened my eyes a bit. The first thing I saw was Lark she was grazing. I turned over to see if Thistle was ok, she was fine to. I wanted to make sure War Lord had not done anything again. Before I got my herd back, I wanted to take a break from all the mess. I layed down, not sleeping, but just reasting my eyes.

Re: Arroyo Azul
Lark:
i noticed the Phantom stir. no wonder he was tired- War Lord was, in my book, classified as wiley and bad mannered, not to mention ambitious. he had tons of mares, now that he had stolen all of ours. i went back to grazing, wondering what to do. it felt good to rest for a while...
and then, it hit me. i jumped like i had been spooked, and began to pace through the red dust distractedly. could my plan be crazy enough to work? it would take time, of course, and we had plenty of it...

Re: Arroyo Azul
I heard someone jump alittle and then start walking around. I opened an eye to see if everything was ok. I saw Lark pacing back and forth, I wondered why. I had had some good rest, and decided to get up. I got up to my feet and said "Lark, whats wrong?"

Re: Arroyo Azul
Lark:
"i have a plan." i said, quite softly, just in case anything was around to hear. i quickly whispered it to the Phantom. "any ideas on how to improve it?" i was much to agitated to hold still.

Neko:
I am nearing arroyo azul, when i hear horses whispering. My ears prick up and i trot faster, in hopes of finding a herd to join. Other herds hadn't accepted me because i was a tomboy. "Hmm" I thought. "Some horses are just like people! If you don't suit them they reject you. How nice!" I snorted and shook my head, scattering my mane all over my neck and face. i moved into a gallop, then stopped short, for, there in front of me were three horses: two mares and a stallion.

Re: Arroyo Azul
Lark had whispered the plan in my ear, I nodded to show her I thoght it was pretty good, I did not really have any improvments to it either. I started to hear hoof beats come closer. I pricked my ears in alert, hoping it was not War Lord to come and make more trouble. But instead of him, I saw a white arabian mare. Thats wierd, she almost looked like me, I was thinking if we were ever related?

Lark:
as i finished whispering ym plan to The Phantom, i heard hoofbeats. a pretty lightest-grey mare was entering the arroyo! a new herd member, perhaps! i galloped out to meet her, my bluish mane and tail flying.
"greetings! I'm Lark of the Vineyard, lead mare of the Phantom's herd. what's your name?"
