This ideal spot with it's beautiful waters it the premire skating hang out. It's where foals who hope to compete in War Drum Flats skating races and compeitions will train, and adults will teach.

Dusk was coming as I canted on the small cliff, light was fading quickly. It was dangerous, for the less light there was, the less I was able to see my slippery path. Snow and ice blanketed the small smudge of a path. But still my hooves trod on forward, leaving small yet heavy indentions in the thick snow.
I lifted my muzzle and sniffed. Were there any horses nearby? It was hard to tell, especially when I noticed that flurries of sleet were beginning to fall. Although it was more fangerous, I also wanted to get to my destination quicker now that it was getting harder to move. I picked up the pace and shifted the gear from a canter to a gallop. I watched as snow fell off the cliff and down into the valley as my hooves forced it to the side. I knew I should really slow down, and minute now my body could go down with the snow, but all I wanted was to go faster.
Light was fading, and the snow was falling heavier. For most palominos, by now you wouldn't be able to distinguish their golden coat from a grey coat, but my coat still shone brightly from the darkness. I was like a lighthouse, the only light thing in a tremendous storm.
Finally I came to the point where I could take the track down and tred into the valley below, but I paused before trying to make my slippey way. I looked right and left, looking for horses. I reared, I neighed, I did a high-pitched whinney. I looked right and left again before starting my way down, hopefully, to other horses.

Shadow of Moonlight:
As the snow came down heavy, I stood under the tree.
I was alone, like normal, and didn't worry about finding other horses.
The tree gave some protection against the snow and wind, but my gray coat slowly started to turn white.
I looked up and saw a golden color in the distance.
Was it a horse, and if so, why were the out.
I neighed at them, wondering if they heard me or not over the wind.

I heard another neigh. There was a horse! I whinnied hard and slid down the rest of the hill. I looked around franitcally, trying to see in this storm. Where was the horse? I neighed and pranced fearfully, hoping not to be lost.

I heard another neigh, and I began walking toward it. "Do you need some help." I yelled over the wind.
Unicorn Spirit
Sunrise Star:
"No! I'm fine," I shouted over the howling wind. I leaped forward a little and tried to see through the snow for some kind of shelter.

Snow fell from the skies, coating the ground with it. I layed beneath my tree,it sheltered my from some of the snow. Snow... The reason I was out here all alone, The reason I had lost my Mother and Herd. Yet, I did not hate it. how could I? it brought so much joy to me! Ice skateing, Sleding. all these wonderful things where brought by snow. Although, I don't think I will enjoy it very much this year... All Alone.
I started paceing back and forth under my tree, waiting for the snow to stop so I could once again start the search for my family. Suddenly I heard a neigh! then another answer it! I whinnied as loud as I could, Maybe it was my herd! I jumped out from underneath my tree, galloping as fast as my legs could carry me towards the neighs. The kept echoing though the snow storm and I kept on whinnying back. something told me though, They couldn't hear me. Then the neighs stopped and all was quite again. I whinnied, trying to call them. But it was no use, Whoever was calling me was either gone or had given up. I turned around to go back to my tree and frooze. I was completly surrounded by snow, My tree was no where to be found. I.... Was lost.
Shadow of Moonlight:
"Come over here!" I yelled to her.
The wind howled and snow was every where, but I remember about a cave that was not far.
Then I heard a crack of a branch, I looked around and saw something moving.
There was another horse, most likely a foal.
"Any one there." I yelled over to the trees.

I padded through the peltering snow until I found the other horse, a stallion. But he was looking for or at something.
"What is it?" I asked warily, thinking it might be something dangerous.
